Lydia White, MSc

American lobster fishery ecology and biology
PhD Candidate
University of New Brunswick, Saint John

About

Beginning as a lobster technician in Dingwall, Nova Scotia, I have continued  to pursure my research interests in the American lobster fishery. Completing my Masters in 2022, I am currently a PhD candidate in the Rochette lab at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John.

I believe that the key to good fisheries science is meaningful conversation and collaboration between academia, industry, and government.

I work across various areas of lobster fishery ecology, with my current research focused on developing an innovative tool to predict future fishery landings in Atlantic Canada.
